Paperport
Paperport is a robust document manager. It is especially useful for clinicians when combined with Clinical Record Keeper Plus or Pro ™ in the following ways. You can:
- Create searchable PDF files from Word documents, scanned paper, or Excel spread sheets.
- Scan paper into Paperport.
- Catalog files of almost any type.
- Search files of almost any type using the name, the properties, or the text content of the files.
- Paperport will develop an index of files or phrases for search purposes.
- Centrally access and organize MS-Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and image files.
- Open any program needed to work on the type of file you want to view.
- E-mail any file.
- Print any file.
- Fax any file.
- Convert any file to another type of file.
- Use Paperport to create a live form from a scanned form in which you can enter data by typing. Then save it in several different formats. You can then print it, fax it, or e-mail it.
- Create your own forms in Word and make them live in Paperport.
Using Clinical Record Keeper Plus or Pro ™ clinicians can use Paperport in the following ways:
- Scan or import documents such as Word or PDF files into paperport.
- Catalog the files in folders.
- Create a live link to those files and folders from the specific clinical chart for a patient and access them alternately with the clinical chart.
- If you use Paperport Professional you can funnel e-mail attachments into a folder in Paperport and link to them there from CRK Plus.
- Any paper can be scanned or any digital file can be imported into Paperport and then linked to CRK Plus.
- You can encrypt PDF files.
- You can control permission for access to PDF files by password no mater where they go.
In short, Paperport Version 11 or Paperport Professional can help you to manage a large number of documents of different types and access them from Clinical Record Keeper Plus™.
