Simplified Configuration

This is just an example of paring down the functions to whatever you want and need.

What you are looking at above is an ultra simple outline tree. It contains only three main folders. Some practitioners like a very simple graphic look. With this program you (or I) can configure the program to suit your style of working and your taste.

The client's folder has been expanded showing alphabet sub folders. By clicking on the plus sign next to a folder the folder opens. Let's look at the contents of E-L.

All files for a client are together. No searching needed. The intake file for our fictional character holds contact information and insurance information if desired. There is a template for the Intake file to structure how you enter the data. You can see the template icon in the E-L folder. In use you simply duplicate it, and rename it with the client's name. Then fill it in. When you click on the file, the word processor opens on the right for viewing and data entry.

The second file is Mrs. Gray's clinical chart with both the initial evaluation and the subsequent progress notes in it. You can use a template for the initial evaluation or not. Your choice.

A psychotherapy or process note file, because it is a separate file, meets the "psychotherapy note exemption" of HIPAA. It is not part of the clinical chart. Mrs. Gray has her own super bill made from the template in that folder. It can be printed out rapidly and signed for any date of service.

The general folder can hold any type of file. The REFERENCE folder holds a copy of all templates, informational files, and other files. It gathers them out of the way but they are quickly accessible if needed. The Visit and Receipts folder holds weekly files which contain dates of service, names, procedure codes, and receipt information.

Although you can't see it, the general text area of the word processor is large and easy to see. It has all the controls you need for record keeping.

In summary, this versatile program can be adjusted for the way you work and how you want things to look and function. I have a number of configurations of the program suggested by long time users. Some are more complicated, and some simpler as you see here. There is no charge for custom configurations. It is nice to know you can have what you want in a record keeper at modest cost with good functional ability.
